I was excited this month at the chance to see examples of the work of renowned textile artist Judith Scott “in real life”. A couple of her marvellous wrapped sculptures are part of an exhibition at The Tetley in Leeds at the moment. Your Consequences Have Actions is a solo show by Saelia Aparicio, accompanied by work by six women artists who have work in the Musgrave Kinley Outsider Art Collection, housed at The Whitworth, Manchester.
Scott’s works were a definite highlight of an interesting and enjoyable exhibition, which I wrote about for Disability Arts Online following an interview with Bryony Bond at The Tetley. You can read the article here: http://disabilityarts.online/magazine/opinion/your-consequences-have-actions/

This year her work was part of the US exhibition at the Venice Biennale, which is great to see.
